Gweru
City of Gweru's waste disposal site at McFadden Farm, about 10 km south-west of the CBD near Woodlands Phase 2. It was commissioned in 1999 and is earmarked for decommissioning, with Starr Shire recommended as a replacement.
Mutare
City of Mutare's open municipal dumpsite. Studies have linked its leachate to pollution of the Muenene River.
Bulawayo
Bulawayo's municipal landfill in Richmond, near Cowdray Park. It was commissioned in 1994 and has had recurring fires; as of September 2026 the government has directed the council to engage Geo Pomona.
Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls City Council dumpsite along the Victoria Falls–Masuwe Road. Residents have complained about smoke, and the council has pursued an engineered landfill.
